How to self-promote

These days social media is massive and it can help if you are promote yourself.

• Collaborate with other similar kinds of people - repost their things
• Gn one large adventure at least once or twice a year.
• Go camping with your mates, outside of London 3 or 4 times a year
• Write long posts about your camping trips on the internet.
• People have to comment on your boring self-absorbed monologues and say how wonderful they are.
• You have to create at least one film preferably with dramatic music, and some monologues about how difficult and lonely you are.
• You should write as many books as you can about your life and how lonely you got, how difficult it was but that essentially everyone else should also do it.
• You should buy and write reviews about camping equipment regularly.
• You should do some quirky things to confuse people and make sure that you get your cartel of other people to retweet, repost, tweets about etc your activities.
• Take loads of selfies - smile showing your upper row of teeth
• Be really self-deprecating
• Be opinionated
• Don’t say anything too controversial
• Don’t talk about politics or anything too serious
• Claim that essentially the world is fine but people are just boring and need to get out more
• Do as many public talks as you can with pictures of your trips
• Meet with other adventurers at events and then live tweet about each others’ talks
• Buy a packraft, put a bike in it and then go for a walk, bike ride and paddle down a river somewhere.
• Have a family and get a wife (who earns most of the money or who is already rich) but leave them out of any of your public promotions- make sure that you keep up the persona of lonely man adventurer (whilst being supported in the background by your wife’s family).
• Harp on about young people being channelled into ordinary lifestyles as if such a thing exists and then propose your own lifestyle as the idealistic alternative.
