About This Project

Developed Wequest, an interactive learning platform designed as a Goldsmiths Masters final project. The site enables users to connect, share resources, and participate in events to achieve collective goals.

Client

Wequest aims to get people to connect around constructive projects, find and attend events locally, and solve real-world problems. It was designed partly as a Goldsmiths Masters Final project. Users add their resources to their user profile, post events, and indicate they have a need for a resource. The app notifies anyone else who has that resource to get involved. People can attend as learners, teachers, or just to help solve a problem. Named Wequest because obstacles have to be overcome to achieve the objective. 'Quest' nods towards help from unforeseen assistance. Learning is a by-product of the collaborative activity. Points and badges are awarded based on achievements, such as posting a popular event, participating in many events, and providing many resources. The contribution system is inspired by StackExchange, which awards and is moderated based on the quality of contribution.
