The huge freshwater lake Sevan, one of the biggest in the world after Lake Baikal in Russia. A large area of the country is mountainous with grasslands and steppe. The highest point is Mount Aragats (4095m) .

I spoke to him briefly over email about his most recent project, the Floda 31 art residency as I was potentially going to go over there and visit (although in the end I never did). Richard: We are making a sculptural snake run that take’s you on a journey from the field, through the forest and concludes in a panoramic of the surrounding landscape, this is being made for skateboarding and being funded by a global brand.

Back in 2007 I was travelling by bike and ended up in the Republic of Georgia. The course lasted a few cold windy days and I took the train down to Rye from London and cycled down to the coast to the hut on the beach.
