Politicians break their own Rules
Dominic Cummings’ controversial actions stirred public debate in the UK. The main one being the trip to Barnard Castle to test his eyesite. Catherine Calderwood visited her holiday home.
The annoying part was that the government was setting all the isolation and stay at home rules and then broke their own rules. It made them look like it was one rule for them and another for everyone else.
Home Working Software
My employer, Avon, ramped up its use of Microsoft Teams. Anyone who could work from home on a computer was now going to be using remote working software and it gained traction. It didn’t affect me much as I moved into a team that was entirely based in Poland!
Outdoor Fitness Activities
Running and cycling surged in popularity as people sought outdoor activities while adhering to social distancing measures. People rushed online to buy home gym equipment and prices rocketed. I had been attending a Crossfit gym and I used the knowledge gained from that to train at home in the concrete backyard.
