How to Fit Your Bike

Bike fit is very important…

  • Measure the top tube
  • Ride the bike for at least 20 miles 10 times
  • Ride the bike on and off road (if it is a mountain bike)
  • Move the seat fore and aft position (start out with it in the middle)
  • Try an inline seat post if it is fitted with a layback seat post and you are too far back
  • Sit on the bike and check your hand position, feel it is might be more comfortable an inch or so forward back etc
  • Test heel on pedal with leg out straight (should not be locked out)
  • Test plumb line from the bone under the knee and it should go through the ball of the foot
